Problem
My second monitor is not detected.
Symptoms
External monitor stays black, shows "No Signal", or is not detected in Windows Display Settings.
Solution
Check the physical connections and cable, then restart the docking station and laptop so Windows can re-detect the display.
Step-by-step instructions
- 1Check monitor power and confirm the power LED is on.
- 2Check the HDMI/USB-C/DisplayPort cable at both ends and try a different port.
- 3Restart the docking station by unplugging it for 10 seconds and reconnecting.
- 4Restart the laptop.
- 5Open Settings > System > Display and click Detect if the monitor still does not appear.
