Docking station issue

Laptop does not recognize the docking station or peripherals attached to it stop working.

Monitors, keyboard, mouse, or network connection stop working when connected through the dock; dock LED is off or blinking.

Reseat all cables, update dock firmware/drivers, and power-cycle the dock and laptop.

1. 1Confirm the dock power adapter is plugged in and the dock LED is lit.
2. 2Unplug the laptop from the dock, wait 10 seconds, then reconnect.
3. 3Reseat the cable between the laptop and the dock.
4. 4Restart the laptop with the dock connected.
5. 5Check Windows Update or the manufacturer site for updated docking station drivers.
6. 6Test peripherals directly on the laptop to isolate whether the fault is the dock or a peripheral.
