Outlook password prompt

Outlook keeps asking for a password.

Repeated credential prompts, "Outlook needs your password" popup, or authentication loops.

Clear cached credentials and re-enter your Microsoft 365 password.

1. 1Cancel the prompt and check for a notification banner about multi-factor authentication.
2. 2Open Credential Manager and remove any saved entries for office365 or outlook.
3. 3Restart Outlook and enter your credentials again when prompted.
4. 4Confirm your account is not locked by signing in at portal.office.com.
5. 5Enable modern authentication support if the organization requires MFA.
6. 6Contact IT if the loop continues after re-entering credentials.
