Reset your Dashlane master password

I forgot my Dashlane master password and can't unlock my account.

Dashlane repeatedly rejects your master password, or you simply cannot remember it and are locked out of the extension or app.

Use Dashlane's account recovery process to set a new master password. IT cannot see or reset your master password directly, since Dashlane uses zero-knowledge encryption.

1. 1Open the Dashlane app or browser extension and click "Forgot your master password?" on the unlock screen.
2. 2Follow the prompts to request admin-assisted recovery.
3. 3Notify the IT team once the request has been submitted.
4. 4Once IT approves your request, you'll receive a link to reset your password. Follow the instructions to complete the process
